Cambrex Chemical Plant in Charles City:
Kamm Excavating created and installed and discharge diffuser for the company into the Cedar River. Involved rerouting the Cedar River to allow for work to be done underground of the existing river, then rerouting river back to its original flow.
Dewatering Projects:
Kamm Excavating has been in charge of the plumbing, drainage and restoration of the exterior of the ground projects around business buildings.
Permeable Paving:
With these types of projects, Kamm Excavating does installation of the water and sewer services for these projects.
New Housing Subdivisions:
Capabilities for all required earth moving in creating housing subdivisions. Also the installation of water and sewer for the new streets installed, digging basements for the new housing projects and waterlines to the new houses.
Community Projects within Charles City:
Kamm Excavating Corp., often donates machinery, operators, and materials to assist community organizations in the betterment and beautification of the city. Among these projects has been assisting various artists’ display their various sculptures and artwork in the City Park. As most of these art pieces were several tons in weight, the crane was brought in to place them in the prepared cement platforms.
